The previous business owners had built a website using a personal blog template on Wordpress which meant it was not fit for purpose and extremely difficult to navigate. The lack of user-friendliness resulted in no online bookings and a high bounce rate.
Process
I worked with the new owner, Scott, to produce an elegant minimalist website that reflected the charm of the café fit-out. We let the pictures do the talking and chose design elements such as typography and layout that were refined yet simple and approachable.
Results
The website has been consistently pumping out online bookings since we rolled it out in 2021. The average user spends 57 seconds on the website which is a great engagement time and shows they are interested in the information and finding what they need from the website. Having a high rank for a local search term helps Fig Tree Café acquire new customers looking for cafés in the area and the new website helps increase the chances they will visit Fig Tree Café over their competitors.
